The HSA plan has two simple parts. The first part is a very affordable, straight forward, high-deductible health plan. Annual deductibles range from $1,200 to $10,000. Obviously, the higher the deductible, the lower the monthly premium.

The second part is the actual “Savings Account.” An easy way to describe this account is to view it as a medical IRA. It is simply a savings account which gives you the option to fund at your will. Better yet, every dollar you put into that HSA account is 100% pre-tax! What many Oregon HSA policy owners like about the HSA is those pre-tax dollars that you have in the account can be used for things such as chiropractors, accupuncture, alternative care, naturopathic care, dental/orthodontia, vision and much much more.
